How to access this lounge

Upon arrival from Berlin, I visited this lounge before my Business Class flight to Singapore.

Passengers flying in Business Class on Finnair get complimentary access to this lounge. On top of that, passengers with Finnair or oneworld status can also access the lounge.

The lounge

The lounge is very spacious and has clean, minimalist design elements all around. There are areas for dining, catching a nap, working and of course, comfortable chairs to relax in.

After the departure of Finnair flight to Gazipasa, Turkey at around 8pm, there were only 2 other non-Schengen departures in the evening; one to Singapore and another one to Bangkok. This means that the lounge has very low occupancy during that period!

Dining

At the time of my visit, the buffet consisted of a small selection of hot food, pastries and salad. While I really enjoyed the Chanterelle soup with smoked reindeer, I felt that this was the weakest area of my visit in this lounge.

The bar

The bar is located right in the middle of the lounge and offers a great selection of wines and spirits. Guests can also order cocktails from the menu.

Bottom line

It was a relaxing visit in Finnair’s beautiful Business Lounge at Helsinki Airport before my flight home. However, I felt that the variety of food could be improved for it to compete against Business Lounges of other good airlines.
