Finnair has finally released some Business Class award availability for flights to/from Singapore.
Finnair’s NEW Business Class experience
I flew in Finnair’s new Business Class a few months ago and enjoyed the service onboard. The seat doest not recline and was very comfortable in the sitting position. However, I found that it wasn’t as comfortable in bed mode because of the narrow foot well.

Low availability to/from Singapore
I found award availability between Singapore and Helsinki in late January 2023. As long as there is award availability for this long-haul segment, it is pretty easy to find availability between Helsinki and other European cities!
Here are the available dates, as of today, for up to 3 seats per flight:
Singapore to Helsinki: 29, 30, 31 January, 2 February 2023
Helsinki to Singapore: 31 January 2023
Good award availability to/from Bangkok
If the dates to/from Singapore do not work for you and if you are willing to position in Bangkok, I am seeing good award availability from November 2022.

How to book Finnair Business Class
One of the cheapest ways (in terms of miles and cash) to fly Finnair’s new Business Class is with Cathay Pacific Asia Miles and with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.
With both frequent flyer programs (FFP), you will not have to pay fuel surcharges for award bookings on Finnair and the total fees payable should be under S$100 per ticket.
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles is a transfer partner of all good credit cards in Singapore. Award flights can be booked on asiamiles.com.
When booking an award flight on asiamiles.com, you may see an error message shown below. As discussed on Flyertalk, this is a known issue of the website and you should be able to make the booking through an Asia Miles hotline.
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan is not a transfer partner of any Singapore credit cards but miles can be bought during frequent offers or earned when flying in paid flights with partner airlines like Singapore Airlines or Qatar Airways. Award flights can be booked on alaskaair.com.

Europe | 70,000 | 60,000 |
How to find Finnair Business Class award space
The easiest way to find Finnair award availability is on American Airlines’ website, aa.com. This is because, you will be able to set filters like “non-stop flights only” and “business/first class only” and have a lovely calendar view of award availability.
Additional note: Use aa.com only as a reference and always cross-check on your Frequent Flyer Program (FFP) of choice. In other words ignore the amount of miles shown on aa.com; use it only as a tool to search for availability.
Pro tip: Search one segment at a time to/from Helsinki and search non-stop flights only, so that you only see Finnair availability.
You may also look for Finnair Business Class award availability with a calendar view on alaskaair.com.
Bottom line
It is nice to see Finnair’s Business Class award availability returning for flights to/from Singapore. This is a great opportunity to redeem your Asia Miles!
