How I booked this ticket
This short 1.5 hours Business Class flight is part of a much longer route, involving my flight from Helsinki to Singapore in Finnair’s new Business Class seat.
Finnair’s A321 Business Class
This is probably the most boring (fake) Business Class seat that you’ll ever see. I contemplated writing a review about it but decided to do it anyway as it is pretty much the standard narrow-body Business Class layout for intra-Europe flights. Besides, not everyone is flying Finnair’s longhaul Business class to/from directly from Helsinki!
With this seat/layout, the middle seat is blocked to give Business Class passengers more space. As you can see from the photos below, the seats in the first row have a larger legroom. Definitely aim for those, for a better experience.
Dining
Honestly, I was expecting just a sandwich/pastry with hot drinks on this short flight and was pleasantly surprised when I received this delicious Salmon salad.
It came with a 150-gram-ish piece of salmon and was the only hot food available on the flight.
Service
Service was warm and friendly. As you would expect, there wasn’t that much interaction during this short flight.
Lounge experience
Flying Finnair Business Class from Berlin gets you access to Lounge Tempelhof, which was alright for some drinks and light snacks.
My ratings
This is how I am rating this short haul Business Class experience:
Seat | 2/10 |
Bed Mode | – |
Dining | 9/10 |
Privacy | 3/10 |
Service | 8/10 |
Cleanliness | 9/10 |
Bottom line
Finnair’s A321 holds the typically boring intra-Europe Business Class seats but the lovely onboard meal improved the experience.
