Best uses of Finnair points

Finnair points are great for redemptions on Finnair flights but not on partner airlines, where the amount of points required are much more.

Here’s the simple award chart for flights on Finnair:

With the best-ever deal, where points cost only 0.64 cents each, you can fly in Business Class between Asia and Europe for just €515 (S$736) each way!

Pro tip: If you do not see award availability between Singapore and Helsinki, try searching the neighbouring city of Bangkok.

How to find Finnair award space

The easiest way to search for Finnair award availability is on American Airlines’ website, aa.com.

This is because, you will be able to set filters like “non-stop flights only” and “business class only” and have a lovely calendar view of award availability.

Use aa.com only as a reference and always cross-check on finnair.com.

Pro tip: Search one segment at a time to/from Helsinki and search non-stop flights only, so that you only see Finnair award availability.

Things to consider before buying Finnair points

It is advisable to look for available award space before making the purchase.

Even so, there is a chance that the award space may disappear before the purchased points get credited to your account.
