What benefits to expect when you stay at Hyatt Place Glendale Los Angeles as a World of Hyatt Globalist member?
The hotel opened in 2018 with a total of 179 rooms.
This Category 4 World of Hyatt property requires 12,000 to 18,000 points per night for award stays in a standard room. I had made the booking when it was a Category 3 property but the hotel went up a category, shortly after my stay.

Location
The hotel is located in Glendale, Los Angeles, between Hollywood and Pasadena. The surrounding area of the hotel was clean and felt safe. There’s even a large mall nearby!
- 4 mins walk to Glendale Galleria mall
- 15 mins drive to Universal Studios Hollywood
- 20 mins drive to Hollywood
- 35 mins drive to Santa Monica Pier
- 50 mins drive to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Arrival
Upon arrival, we handed the car over to the valet and proceeded to check in. As a Globalist member redeeming free nights (points redemption), we did not have to pay for parking (or valet service in this case). The usual price for valet parking is US$38 per night.
As a Globalist member recognition, we were assigned a room on a higher floor, with a mountain view.
Two Queen Beds (Mountain View)
Room 1004 is 37sqm/403sqft in size.
The room was fairly large and includes a living area with a sofa bed. It also comes with a mountain view that was especially beautiful during sunset.
Internet speed
The WiFi speed was good enough for light web surfing.
Breakfast
Breakfast is complimentary for all guests and it is held at Breakfast Bar, near the lobby.
Like most other Hyatt Place properties in the region, there wasn’t much variety in the continental breakfast spread and food quality was average.
Other facilities
For the Hyatt Place brand, the hotel offers great facilities like a small swimming pool, a large gym and even a laundry room (chargeable).
