I visited this newly-opened lounge while transiting in Doha, during my Round The World in Business & First Class using miles trip.
This huge lounge is 79,500 sqft (7,390 sqm) in size, a little smaller than the other Al Mourjan Lounge in the airport’s South Terminal, which has a total area of around 110,000 sqft (10,200 sqm).
Review: Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Lounge (South) Doha Hamad Airport
Who can access Al Mourjan Lounge (The Garden)?
Eligible passengers include:
- Passengers flying in Business Class with Qatar Airways (no guest)
- Passengers flying in Business Class with any oneworld airline (no guest)
Like the other Al Mourjan Lounge in the South Terminal, oneworld Sapphire/Emerald passengers who are departing in Economy Class will not have access to this lounge, and will be directed to a separate Business/First Class lounge instead.
If you are departing on a Qatar Airways flight in Economy, you may purchase lounge access at the entrance for QAR 450 (US$124).
Al Mourjan Lounge (The Garden)
Getting there
Al Mourjan Business Lounge (The Garden) is located near The Orchard, in the new North Terminal of the airport.
From the South Terminal, guests can get to the North Terminal very quickly through a sky train (free of charge).

General areas
It’s a beautiful lounge with great furnishing and high ceiling. Although these photos were taken after dark, there’s a good amount of natural light falling into the lounge from The Garden area in daytime.
I do, however, wish that there’s a runway/apron view, a feature also missing from the Al Mourjan lounge in the other terminal.
The lounge is very well-designed, with private zones offering a more quiet environment.
Quiet Room
There are a total of 24 Quiet Rooms with single or dual occupancy. These rooms are available on a first come, first served basis.
Guest can book each room for a maximum of 4 hours each time, at no cost.
These rooms are great for some quiet time (and maybe a quick nap), but they are certainly not perfect for a proper sleep. Nowhere near as amazing as the Private Suites in Turkish Airlines’ Business Lounge in Istanbul!
Shower
Guests can book a shower room in-person. However, the waiting time may be longer when occupancy is high.

Food & Drinks
Food is served as a buffet, and also from à la carte menus.
Food quality was very good, but I was quite disappointed to see the same exact à la carte menu that’s also been used in the older Al Mourjan lounge for at least 3 years now.
Guests can also order à la carte dishes from 2 menus – Deli and Mains.
As I wasn’t hungry, and want to have a proper meal onboard my Qatar Airways Business Class flight to Manchester, I opted for something light from the Deli menu.

Bottom line
Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Lounge (The Garden) is a beautiful lounge with great furnishing, food and facilities.
The older Al Mourjan lounge is one of the best Business Class lounges in the world, but it gets very crowded, very quickly during super-peak hours of the day.
This new lounge in the North Terminal should spread the load nicely, as there is now a whopping 190,000 sqft of lounge for Qatar Airways/oneworld Business Class passengers to enjoy, before flying out of Doha. Incredible.
