How to access Plaza Premium First Lounge Kuala Lumpur Airport?
I visited this lounge before my Turkish Airlines Business Class flight from Kuala Lumpur to Istanbul, during my Round The World in Business & First Class using miles trip.
Review: Turkish Airlines Boeing 787-9 Business Class Kuala Lumpur to Istanbul
As there is no Star Alliance lounge in this airport, eligible passengers flying with an airline from the alliance receive access to the Plaza Premium First Lounge. This “First” lounge is just a section of the bigger Plaza Premium Lounge.
This fairly-new lounge opened in early 2023.
Eligible passengers include:
- Passengers flying in Business or First Class with a Star Alliance or SkyTeam airline

Plaza Premium First Lounge Kuala Lumpur Airport
Getting there
Plaza Premium First Lounge is located after security, on level 2, near Gate G of the terminal.

As mentioned above, there are 2 sections of the lounge. The larger one, for Plaza Premium guests, is to the left of the reception, while the “First” section is to the right.
General areas
The First section of the lounge is pretty small, but it wasn’t too crowded during my visit.
Shower
Guests can book a shower room in-person.
Food & Drinks
Guests can help themselves to a small selection of hot dishes or get made-to-order dishes from the à la carte menu.
As I wanted to have proper breakfast onboard my Turkish Airlines flight, I opted for a lighter breakfast.

Bottom line
As a contract lounge, Plaza Premium First Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport does not offer anything particularly interesting, but it is a good lounge for a quick meal or shower before your flight.
This lounge holds similar standards as other Plaza Premium lounges around the world, that you may be familiar with.
There is also a free 10 min shoulder massage free for first too
