How to access Qantas First Lounge Los Angeles LAX Airport?
I visited this lounge before departing from Los Angeles on Japan Airlines First Class, during my Round The World in Business & First Class using miles trip.
Eligible passengers include:
- Passengers flying in First Class, with a oneworld Alliance airline
- oneworld Emerald members (non-Mileage Plan/AAdvantage) flying with a oneworld Alliance airline, in any class
- Mileage Plan/AAdvantage oneworld Emerald members flying outside North America, with a oneworld Alliance airline, in any class
Qantas First Lounge Los Angeles LAX Airport
Getting there
Qantas First Lounge is located after security, on level 5 of Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT).

General areas
The lounge is pretty large, considering the low volume of eligible passengers. However, the low ceiling takes away some luxurious “feel”.
My main complaint is the lack of high-privacy seats or nap pods in the lounge. There are a couple of private rooms with 4 seat each, but I’m not sure if they are available to non-VVIP passengers.
Food & Drinks
Like in most First Class lounges, visitors can order unlimited food and drinks from the à la carte menu.
The lounge has breakfast and all-day dining menus, with a seasonal rotation.
Internet speed
The WiFi speed was great during my visit.
Top complimentary amenities
- WiFi
- Drinks (incl. alcoholic)
- Hot food
- Showers
- Computers
My ratings
This is how I am rating my visit (vs other First Class lounges):
Food & Drinks | 9/10 | Cleanliness | 9/10 |
Peace & Quiet | 9/10 | Service | 9/10 |
Furnishing | 7/10 | Facilities | 8/10 |
Privacy | 8/10 | View | 6/10 |
Bottom line
Qantas First Lounge Los Angeles LAX Airport isn’t as impressive as some of the top First Class lounges in the world, but it is still a great space to be in for some quiet time and good food, before your flight out of Los Angeles.
