How to access this lounge
I visited this lounge before my Malaysia Airlines Business Class flight from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru, during my 2022 year-end Mileage-Mattress run.
As this lounge is located landside, travellers can access this lounge after arrival or prior to departure, as long as they are able to show a boarding pass departing/arriving on the same day.
AMEX Platinum charge and AMEX Krisflyer Ascend cardholders can get complimentary access to Plaza Premium lounges.
Travellers can also pay MYR242 (US$54) to gain entry to this lounge for 2 hours, but there’s little value in doing so.

Getting there
Plaza Premium Lounge Kuala Lumpur Airport T2 is located next to Aerotel, at gateway@klia2, which is connected to the Terminal 2 building.

General areas
The lounge has modern decor and is pretty “open”, with hardly any privacy dividers in between tables/seats.
I’ve been to this lounge many times, but have not seen it too crowded.
Visitors may also book a shower room during their visit.
Food & Drinks
The lounge has separate buffet areas for pastries and hot food. Visitors can also get made-to-order dishes and noodles, depending on what’s offered on that day.
Beers are complimentary, but other alcoholic drinks are chargeable (and expensive) at this lounge. The price menu is shown below.

Bottom line
This lounge offers good food for departing, as well as arriving travellers.
It is especially useful for passengers who are waiting for the check-in counters to open to drop their checked baggage, or for arriving travellers who have some time to spare for a quick meal, before checking into their hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
If you are arriving early before departure, be sure to check in online (or via one of the check-in machines) and retrieve your mobile boarding pass before coming, as it is required to gain entry to the lounge.
Well Carlsberg pint is free
Not sure about the time of your visit, but each time I enter I can get a half pint of Carlsberg draught for free
