SilverKris Lounge in London Heathrow Airport is located in Terminal 2, where all Singapore Airlines flights depart from. This lounge is also open to departing passengers on Star Alliance airlines and also Gold members.
Checking into this lounge was quick and I soon found out that the occupancy was at around 20%.
Hot food offered in this lounge are mainly Singaporean favourites like Nasi Lemak and stir-fried noodles. I was excited to try out how Nasi Lemak tastes this far away from home. I know, expectation breeds disappointment but this Nasi Lemak, as much as it looks exactly like what it is supposed to look, tasted nothing like Nasi Lemak. The flavours were just wrong. If I am a foreigner trying this dish for the first time, I would have hated it. Singapore Airlines needs to send a Singaporean chef here to taste-test.

Conclusion
Besides the bad Nasi Lemak, it wasn’t a deal-breaker. I enjoyed other aspects of this fairly small lounge. Of course, the low occupancy helped. I do not understand the partially closed up “work pods” though. They are placed right in the middle of the lounge, offers barely any privacy and does not shield you from noise.
