Great Deal: Roundtrip Singapore to USA in Singapore Airlines Premium Economy from S$1,167

Singapore Airline is running a great (unpublished) Premium Economy deal for flights from Singapore to West Coast USA on certain dates in December 2022 and January 2023.

The deal

With this deal, travellers can book roundtrip Singapore Airlines Premium Economy flights from Singapore to Los Angeles and San Francisco, USA from just S$1,167.

These flights usually cost around S$2,000.

Multi-city is possible

You can also book a multi-city trip with this great fare! For example, arriving in San Francisco and leaving from Los Angeles.

Key points to note

• Leave Singapore between 19 December and 27 December 2022
• Leave San Francisco/Los Angeles between 11 and 19 January 2023
• The shortest trip possible is 18 days (27 Dec to 11 Jan + 2 days time/date difference)

Singapore Airlines Premium Economy seat

Although not as sexy as its Business Class seats, I found that Singapore Airlines Premium Economy seats offer a good balance between Economy and Business Class. This is mainly because of its recline angle and foot rest.

Premium Economy passengers can also pre-select Book the Cook meals.

Where to credit?

These Premium Economy fares book into fare class ‘R’. You’ll be getting around 16,900 miles with 100% mileage accrual when crediting to Alaska Airlines, Singapore Airlines or Turkish Airlines.

I would personally choose to credit the flights to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan for the following reasons:

• Miles expiry easily extendable with activity
• Ability to buy miles to top up existing balance
• Only costs 25,000 miles to redeem a one-way Japan Airlines Business Class flight to Japan/South Korea.

Why we like this card

Earning 6 miles per dollar for flight bookings (on selected airlines) is fantastic.

With its 3 MPD earn rate on online hotel and flight transactions, this card is also a good backup for online hotel spending once you have maxed out other cards that offer 4 MPD.

These are fantastic Economy and Premium Economy fares on Singapore Airlines from Singapore to the West Coast of the USA over the Christmas/New Year period. Earning over 21,000 miles in the process makes it an even sweeter deal!
