Marriott Bonvoy has a new global promotion starting in a couple of weeks, and it is now open for registration.
Key points to note
- Get 1,000 bonus points (worth US$6) per night, with no limits
- Get 1 additional Elite Night Credit per night, to achieve Elite statuses easier
- Registration is required by 15 Apr 2024
- Only paid nights are eligible, award nights do not count
- Stays must be completed between 13 Feb and 29 Apr 2024
- Bookings made before the promotional period will also qualify, as long as the stays are within that period
- Bonus points and additional Elite Night Credits will be credited within 7 business days after checking out

Is this a good promotion?
Marriott Bonvoy ran similar offers in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
This is a great promotion, as members can achieve the Platinum status after staying just 25 actual nights (to earn 50 Elite nights) within the 76-night promotional period. This can be achieved at a fairly low cost if you can have travel plans in Malaysia or Indonesia in the coming months!
Of course, you do not need to earn all 50 Elite nights during this period. Members have up till 31 Dec 2024 to qualify for a status, with or without double elite nights.
Marriott’s membership status earned in 2024 can be enjoyed till Feb 2026.
In my opinion, Marriott Bonvoy’s Platinum/Titanium status is the best hotel membership status for travellers based in Singapore and the surrounding region. This is due to great benefits, large worldwide portfolio and general hotel rates.

The Platinum status gets you the following key benefits:
- Complimentary breakfast
- Club lounge access (incl. complimentary food and drinks, alcoholic too)
- Room upgrades, up to a suite
- Late check-out, up to 4pm
- Choose a milestone bonus upon reaching 50 Elite Nights
On top of that, members also get to earn 1,000 bonus points (worth US$6) per night, on paid stays. Fixed-points promotions like this are more valuable for stays in cheaper properties.
Bottom line
Marriott Bonvoy members are getting 1,000 bonus points and 1 additional Elite Night Credit for paid stays in the coming months.
This is a superb opportunity to achieve one of Marriott’s top hotel statuses.
If you are thinking of doing a mattress-run during this promotional period, I recommend going for a Platinum/Titanium status, or nothing at all. Marriott’s Silver and Gold statuses do not have benefits worthy of a mattress run.
Hotel statuses can only be truly enjoyed if you spend enough nights in affiliated hotels.
If you travel once or twice a year, please do not feel like you need to chase the status! You can simply pay more on your travels by booking rooms with breakfast or club benefits whenever you want them. You can also book Virtuoso or STARS rates to enjoy additional benefits as a non-elite member.
On top of that, you can also benefit from promotions from third-party Online Travel Agencies (e.g. up to 25% Agoda discount).

using KF gold fast track to Marriott Plat, so only need 5 nights with this promo to achieve Plat or it doesn’t stack?
