Marriott Bonvoy has a new global promotion called Go Your Way, and it is now open for registration.
Key points to note
- Get 1,500 bonus points (worth US$9) per paid stay
- Get an additional 3,000 points for every 3 hotel brands that you stay in, during the promotional period
- No limit to the amount of bonus points that can be earned
- Award stays (points redemptions) do not count, only paid stays
- Stays must be completed between 12 Sep and 6 Dec 2023
- Registration is required by 22 Nov 2023
- Bookings made before the promotional period will also qualify, as long as the stays are completed within that period
- Bonus points will be credited within 7 business days after checking out

What counts as a “stay”?
A “stay” is defined as one or more consecutive nights spent at the same hotel.
There seem to be a lot of confusion among travellers who are new to hotel loyalty programs, so, allow me to share some examples that should clear all your doubts:
Example 1: Making 2 bookings at the same hotel, with back-to-back dates
Say you booked a 1-night stay at W Singapore and decided to extend the stay by booking another 1-night stay there. Because the nights in the same hotel are consecutive, it will count as 1 stay, even if you physically check out and check back in a few hours later.
Example 2: Making 2 bookings at the different hotels, with back-to-back dates
Say you booked a 1-night stay at W Singapore. Immediately after checking out from W Singapore, you then decided to book a night at Courtyard Singapore. Because you are not spending consecutive nights in the same hotel, it will count as 2 stays.
Example 3: Making 2 bookings at the same hotel, without back-to-back dates
Say you booked a 1-night stay at W Singapore on 1st June and checked out on 2nd June. You then booked another stay in the same hotel on 3rd June and checked out on 4th June. Because the nights in the same hotel are not consecutive (you slept elsewhere on the night of 2nd June), it will count as 2 stays.
Example 4: Making 2 bookings at different hotels, on the same night
Say you booked a 1-night stay at W Singapore on 1st June, and made another booking at Courtyard Singapore on the same day. Because there is no way that a member can sleep in 2 beds at the same time, the system will automatically count your bookings as 1 stay.
Is this a good promotion?
Although it is not as good as the error promotion that I shared a few months ago, this is a decent one to receive US$9 worth of points back, per stay.
Remember that only paid stays count towards this promotion.
Fixed-points promotions like this are more valuable for stays in cheaper properties, like some of those in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy® account is required. Marriott Bonvoy members who register for this promotion by November 22, 2023, will earn 1,500 bonus points per eligible paid stay, plus an additional 3,000 bonus points after three eligible paid stays, each at a different participating Marriott Bonvoy hotel brand, during the 85-night promotion earning period. The promotion earning period is for eligible paid stays, personally completed and paid for by the registered member, between September 12, 2023, and December 6, 2023, at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties.
