Agoda and Citibank are running a good offer for Citi cardholders in Singapore.

How to find eligible hotels

Eligible hotels are marked with a “Coupon applicable” label as shown in the screenshot below. Discounts will be automatically applied in the payment page when you have entered your Citi card details.

I recommend paying with the Citi PremierMiles card to get 1.2 miles per dollar (MPD) or Citi Prestige card to get 1.3 MPD on top of the 20% discount.

Why we like this card

This card is great as a last-resort card, when you can’t use other cards with better earn rates. Citibank also has more transfer partners than any other banks in Singapore. This allows me to transfer my points to great frequent flyer programs from Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Etihad. Miles from this card do not expire.

Is this a good deal?

Getting 7% to 10% discounts on Agoda, Expedia or booking.com is normal. That is the minimum discount range that you should be getting for your hotel bookings, all year long.

While this deal is not as good as the 25% discounts that we saw with Citibank and HSBC last year, getting 20% instant savings on your hotel bookings is still a great deal!

Additional note: If you do not have a Citi card, you can also get a decent 18% discount with DBS and Maybank cards at the moment.

Agoda and Citi is offering 20% discounts for worldwide hotel bookings for stays up till December 2023. If you have travel plans in the coming months, definitely look into booking your accommodations through Agoda and Citi!
