Why we like this card

Earning 6 miles per dollar for flight bookings (on selected airlines) is fantastic.

With its 3 MPD earn rate on online hotel and flight transactions, this card is also a good backup for online hotel spending once you have maxed out other cards that offer 4 MPD.

Continue on to Australia/New Zealand with an Alaska sweet spot

With this cheap fare, you can also use it to make Hong Kong a side trip, before flying off to Australian or New Zealand cities like Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland on an Alaska sweet spot.

With just 30k Alaska miles + US$38 in taxes/fees, you can fly one-way in Cathay Pacific Business Class between both regions!

However, I do not see much availability for flights departing Hong Kong. But there is good availability for inbound flights arriving in Hong Kong.
