How many points will you get with the 2X bonus?
Hilton Honors members earn points for qualifying spend excluding taxes/fees.
For paid stays, every member will receive 10 additional points per US Dollar. Here’s the total amount of points that members will receive with each status.

Is this a good promotion?
Unlike other hotel loyalty programs like World of Hyatt and Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors tend to run their global promotions back-to-back, which is always great.
However, comparing to the current promotions where members get rewarded with 2X points, 2,000 points on weekdays, as well as double elite nights, this current one is definitely a lot less exciting.
Getting 1,000 points (worth US$4) with each brand makes the promo sound a tiny bit more exciting but I’m not sure why anyone would go out of their way to stay in different Hilton brands just to get US$4 worth of points.
Hilton points are losing value, fast
Award rates at Hilton Honors properties are continuing to increase at an alarming rate and there are not many good redemption opportunities left at good value. Award nights at higher end properties are mostly showing over a million points per night; absolutely ridiculous.
This makes the 2X promotion for paid stays a really weak one, giving you only up to 12% value.
