Holiday Inn Sanur opened in 2021, just a couple of months before our stay. It has a total of 82 rooms.

New-member offer

My partner and I got into 2-Player Mode and book alternating nights (total of 4 nights) to take advantage of an offer where new members can receive a free Reward Night (worth 40k points) after just 2 stays. After this stay, we received 2 free nights as a couple!

We also signed up for a fast track offer to receive Gold Elite status after 2 stays. Although, this membership status is pretty much worthless.

Here are some photos posted on our Instagram page:

Location

The hotel is located in Sanur, Denpasar. It is fairly near to Hyatt Regency and Andaz Bali and shares the same stretch of beach.

The property is located 1-minute walk away from the beach where you will find a few bars and restaurants.

Arrival

Upon arrival, we had our temperatures taken and were assisted with our luggages before being directed to the reception.

No upgrades this time, of course, as we are new members of IHG.

Superior Room

Room 2232 is 26sqm / 280sqft in size.

I liked the modern, fresh-looking interiors and full-length windows. Hardware was very good for a hotel at this price point and I always appreciate rooms with dedicated work desks a little more.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served at Karang restaurant from 7 to 11am.

Unlike better hotel loyalty programs, IHG Rewards members do not get complimentary breakfast, even if they have a Spire Elite status (after staying 75 nights/year).

I can’t remember the last time I paid for breakfast but I included it in my reservation on one of those nights. It costed an additional IDR 100k (US$7).

The hotel was serving breakfast from an à la carte menu and we could select 1 item from each category of a small menu.

For what it costed, food quality and presentation was surprisingly good!

Other facilities

Although the gym had a changing room and toilet, it was really small and had only 1 treadmill.

The rooftop swimming pool offers a beautiful view of the sea and looked like a really nice place to hang out in the evening.

Bottom line

I enjoyed my stay in this property, especially because of how close it is to the beach. If you do not have a hotel loyalty status, this is a good hotel in Sanur to consider.
