Deal: Earn 1,500 bonus points on every Marriott Bonvoy stay

It’s been 4 months since Marriott Bonvoy had a global promotion.

From 14 September to 12 December 2021, Marriott Bonvoy members will earn bonus points on every stay.

Key points to note

1. To qualify, members need to register for free by 28 November 2021.
2. Earn 1,500 bonus points (worth S$13.50) per stay from 14 September to 12 December 2021.
3. Promotion applies only to paid stays. Award stays do not qualify.
4. Bonus points will be awarded within 7 business days after checkout.
5. Members will receive bonus points for only one room per hotel.
6. There are no limits to the amount of bonus points that a member can receive through this promotion.
7. Earn 3,000 bonus points at All-Inclusive resorts (most are in Central America).

Is this a good promotion?

Unlike the previous promotion which rewards members based on the amount spent, this one favours members who stay in cheaper properties. This is perfect for me as there are many high-quality cheap hotels in Bali at the moment.

This is also a great opportunity to activate “2-player mode” where you and your partner take turns to do daily check-ins at a hotel.

It is a bummer that award stays do not count as it would be amazing to stay in Four Points Ungasan or Four Points Kuala Lumpur Chinatown for 4,000 points and receive 1,500 points each stay!

Bottom line

Comparing to World of Hyatt and Hilton Honors, there is no doubt that Marriott Bonvoy is getting lazy with their global promotions. But at least this one does not require you to stay a minimum of 2 nights!
