Steps to book
I often see a drastic drop in nightly rates upon signing in to my Agoda account. So, make sure that you do!
Click on your preferred hotel to view the room types that are available. The prices that you see here excludes taxes and service fees. They also exclude HSBC’s 20% discount. This 20% discount will be reflected on the payment page after you have entered the details of your HSBC Revolution card.
The best credit card in town
It is pretty obvious by now that HSBC is trying the hardest among other banks when it comes to offering as much value as possible to its cardholders. I have mentioned recently that HSBC Revolution is the best credit card to hold in Singapore right now. No annual fees to worry about, 4 MPD on most of your spending and a pretty sick sign-up offer. It can’t get that much better than this.
If you do not have this card yet, you may get it just in time for this Agoda promotion if you apply today.
*Complete the application with MyInfo.
Conclusion
It’s a pity that a lot of hotels like InterContinental and Marina Bay Sands are excluded from this promotion. Browse the results page to see if there are any eligible hotels that interest you.

Hi Fai, I’ve been rejected for 2 credit cards now from UOB and HSBC, despite far exceeding the income requirement and having an AA rating. I believe it has something to do with my employer being from the aviation industry, which is currently bleeding during this crisis and in danger of retrenching people in the upcoming future. I’m just wondering if I could get my wife to sign up for the cards, but exclusively use it for my own use? That is, can the points be transferred from a credit cardholder named XX to the Miles account of someone named YY?
Hi Jack, have you tried applying with a lower custom credit limit?
Unfortunately, you can’t convert bank points to an FFP account under a different name. The workaround is to credit the miles to your wife’s FFP account and get her to add you as a nominee. With this method, she can make award bookings for you without being in the booking herself.
