The Private Room is one of the most exclusive lounges in Singapore’s Changi Airport. It is located within the First Class lounge within Silverkris Lounge and you can only access it by flying First Class on Singapore Airlines. I gained access upon arrival from my First Class flight from Hong Kong. Upon arrival, I was escorted for a long lounge-ception walk deep into Silverkris lounge. The Private Room is nicely decorated and quiet but having been to First Class lounges by American Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Emirates, it is definitely on the small side.

I was feeling very full from a whole day of eating but couldn’t resist going for one more lobster. I picked the Wok-fried lobster with braised wanton noodles, to be exact. The dining area was 80-90% full while I was there but the lounge, as a whole, was around 30% occupied.

Conclusion

A very good lounge with very good food. When you visit a First Class lounge, you tend to nitpick and compare. As good as it is, The Private Room is not among the best out there.
