I now value Asia Miles 12% more than Krisflyer miles.
At the moment, Cathay Pacific’s Asia Miles is more valuable to me than Singapore Airlines Krisflyer since the recent announcement that Asia Miles will no longer expire. Although not as sweet as the First Class error fare exactly a year ago, this one is still pretty good!
With effect from 1 January 2020, miles earned on Cathay Pacific’s Asia Miles will not expire as long as you earn or use the miles at least once every 18 months.
If you are based in Singapore and do not want the extra work of maintaining miles on different Frequent Flyer Programs (FFPs), I recommend just sticking with Singapore Airlines’ Krisflyer. If you are like me, always wanting to squeeze the most value juice out of your miles, read on!
