For a limited time, Citi PayAll is offering a 2.2 miles per dollar earn rate for payments made through the facility.
What is Citi PayAll?
Citi PayAll is a payment facility offered by Citibank Singapore. Citi cardholders can use it to pay rent, insurance premiums, taxes, school fees and more.
Cardholders can earn miles/points for the payments made, but will be charged a small fee.
Because of this fee, cardholders will be paying a little more than their actual expense, in order to earn miles. Hence, by using Citi PayAll, cardholders are essentially “buying” miles, with conditions.
Key points to note
- Earn a total of 2.2 miles per dollar (or 5.5 points per dollar) on expenses paid through Citi PayAll from 20 Apr to 20 Aug 2023, regardless of which eligible card you use
- The PayAll fee is 2.2%
- A minimum aggregate spend of $8,000 is required within the offer period, on only one eligible card
- Bonus miles/points capped at first $120,000 during the offer period, on only one eligible card
- Bonus miles will be credited within 16 weeks after the offer period (by 10 Dec 2023)
- New Citi PayAll customers, or those who have not used Citi PayAll in the last 24 months, get S$50 worth of GrabGift vouchers upon meeting the $8,000 minimum spend

Eligible cards and bonus miles
As mentioned above, if a cardholder meets the aggregate spend of $8,000 within the offer period, these eligible cards will earn a total of 2.2 miles per dollar.
However, as each card have differing base earn rates, the bonus miles/points calculation varies.
Although Citi Rewards is a must-have card, I recommend using one of the other cards instead, if you have one. This is so that you do not need to wait up till 10 Dec 2023 to receive the majority of your miles! Plus, miles/points earned on the other 3 cards do not expire.
Card | Base Miles | Bonus Miles | Cost per Mile |
---|---|---|---|
Citi Rewards | 0.4 mpd (1 point) | 1.8 mpd (9 points) | 1 cent |
Citi PremierMiles | 1.2 mpd | 1 mpd | 1 cent |
Citi Prestige | 1.3 mpd (3.25 points) | 0.9 mpd (2.25 points) | 1 cent |
Citi ULTIMA | 1.6 mpd (4 points) | 0.6 mpd (1.5 points) | 1 cent |

Citi PayAll payments count towards the minimum spending requirement for free Limousine rides with the Citi Prestige card.
To recap, Citi Prestige cardholders who spend at least S$12,000 quarterly can claim 2 complimentary limousine rides to or from Changi Airport.
Meet minimum spending for card sign-up bonus
Citi PayAll payments also count towards the minimum spending requirements for credit card sign-up bonuses for new cardholders.
Bottom line
Citi PayAll is running a great offer for cardholders to “buy miles” for just 1 cent each (SGD), by making payments through the facility, upon meeting the minimum spending requirement.
While this is not a no-questions-asked way to buy miles, the facility does cover a huge range of qualifying spending categories. Take note that bonus miles will only be credited at the end of the year.
