Best uses of Avios

In my experience, Qatar Airways has the best seat and overall Business Class experience.

Additional note: Qatar Airways does not pass on fuel surcharges for award bookings on its own flights but the airline has recently started charging an additional “booking fee” per segment. This means that you will be paying around S$150 per segment, depending on class and route.

Avios are good for the following redemptions for Qatar Airways flights:

Should you convert credit card miles/points to Avios?

The usual rule-of-thumb applies: Only convert your miles/points if you have plans to use them in the near future.

If you already have plans to fly in the Qatar Airways Business Class in the coming months, this is a no-brainer. Be sure to check for award availability on qatarairways.com before committing.

Also, remember that Qatar Airways Avios can now be transferred to British Airways Executive Club at a 1:1 ratio.

Qatar Airways First Class awards bookable again

A couple of months ago, I shared in Suitesmile Chat Telegram group that Qatar Airways First Class award flights between Paris and Doha are bookable again (without a 2X multiplier).

I flew in Qatar Airways First Class in the Airbus A380 from Doha to Paris yesterday (review coming up) and truly enjoyed the experience! With this offer, members can get redeem that First Class route with just over 46,000 Avios. What a steal!

Bottom line

Qatar Airways is offering members 40% bonus Avios on credit card miles/points conversions. This is a great time to burn those miles/points from your Citi cards!
