How to use Accor points

Accor’s points system is boring but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

2,000 Accor points takes 40 Euros off your bill

Simple as that.

To redeem Accor points, your stay must cost at least €40 as you can only redeem in blocks of 2,000 points. On top of that, it must not be a prepaid stay (except for some properties that allow you to redeem points online).

This is unlike programs like Marriott, Hilton and IHG where you sometimes see crazy fluctuations in the number of points required for award stays.

Is ALL a good loyalty program?

Accor Live Limitless (ALL) has over 5,000 properties worldwide.

As a Platinum member, I do not see it as the best hotel loyalty program out there. This is mainly because I can only get complimentary breakfast in Asian hotels. There are more rewarding loyalty programs like Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt for members who stay 40-60 nights per year.

Why I stay in ALL properties

That said, Accor is always a part of my travel plans! I don’t need an elite status to enjoy Accor’s consistently good offers. I took advantage of this same offer last year and used the points for cheap overnight stays in airport hotels or on occasions when I just need a bed.

Accor has plenty of lower-end brands like ibis, ibis Styles and Mercure and that is where I find the most value in this loyalty program.

For example, I am planning a trip to Berlin in a few weeks and I know that I will be spending most of my days out of the hotel.

For that reason, I do not really need to spend over €200 per night in a Marriott or Hyatt for club lounges or Suite upgrades that I will not get to enjoy that much; especially when I can easily find Accor properties in great locations for less than €70. Perfect way to use my Accor points!

Which card to use for hotel bookings?

This is a great offer for travellers without a hotel status. I have always discouraged readers from being overly loyal to a hotel program as it gives you the freedom to take advantage of great offers like this!

5. The stay must be a minimum of 2 night(s).
6. Any consecutive stays (check-out and check-in same day) in the same hotel, will be considered as a single stay. This single stay will be eligible once on the offer.
7. For the purposes of this offer, a stay is understood to be one (1) booking by a member of ALL for one or several rooms. In other words, bookings that include more than one (1) room will be counted as just one (1) stay. The earlier check-out date is counted while the credit of Reward and Status points is calculated.
In other words, a member of ALL – Accor Live Limitless will receive eligible points and nights for the room which he/she vacates first.
8. To be eligible for this offer, stays must be booked directly via Accor (via the official Accor websites, the Accor All mobile apps, the ALL call centre, directly at a hotel) or through a traditional travel agency whose booking system is automatically connected to the Accor booking office. Stays booked via a reseller, tour operator or third-party online travel agent (such as expedia.com, booking.com, etc.) will not be eligible for this offer.
9. Members must provide their ALL – Accor Live Limitless Loyalty card number when making the reservation, and present the card at the hotel reception desk at check-in.
10. Reward points will be credited to the member’s account within 10 days of the member checking out.
11. This offer cannot be combined with other current promotional offers or advantages and does not apply to groups.
If the stay meets the terms and conditions for several offers, only the Reward points linked to the most generous offer (meaning that allows you to earn the highest number of Reward points) will be credited to your account.
Stays at onefinestay are not eligible for this offer. 
12. Any stay partly or entirely paid with ALL – Accor Live Limitless Reward points will not be eligible to receive this offer.
