Introduction

There are a total of 3 Priority Pass lounges in Denpasar, Bali. Two of them are located in the International Terminal (Premier and T/G) and one in the Domestic Terminal (Concordia).

I have visited the one in the Domestic Terminal, Concordia Lounge, 3 times in the past 6 months and will be sharing my thoughts of it in this review.

Reduced expectations

While travelling during the pandemic, my expectation of an airport lounge is fairly low. Give me a clean and quiet space and a decent cup of coffee and I’ll be really happy with my visit. Maybe a couple of packaged snacks to improve the experience further.

Unfortunately, I did not receive those basic “requirements” during my visits at Concordia Lounge.

Noise

Ngurah Rai Domestic Terminal is very noisy in general. This is caused by really loud, constant boarding announcements and final calls for missing passengers.

For what it’s worth, I downloaded an app to measure the audio level and I was getting around 80 decibels!

Unfortunately, there are speakers in the lounge as well, with the same LOUD announcements.

Food options

There was a good variety of food on all 3 visits but quality was poor. Although they were presented like hot food, they were always cold.

And, I’ve always noticed small cockroaches running around the food station.

I couldn’t figure out how to work the coffee machine and the staff “assisted” in making me 1/3 of a cup of cappuccino (see photo).

Hygiene problem

The toilets are not cleaner than the public ones outside the lounge.

Other than the small cockroaches mentioned above, I noticed larger ones on the floor and…….RATS.

I’m just going to leave it at that and spare you guys from the misery of looking at pest photos on this page.

Bottom line

There are many crappy Priority Pass lounges around the world but most of them would still get you some quiet time and a decent cup of coffee without pests running around.

I am blacklisting Concordia Lounge from future visits even though I have free access. You will probably be happier spending US$4 for a coffee in the Starbucks too.

  1. As of today 14th of November 2022 there are no priority pass lounges in the international terminal. I am not sure when it why priority pass is no longer accepted and it’s a real shame.

  2. Can you post the photos of pests? It’s better to see what people are dealing with… May influence management too if you share it with them / Priority Pass
