This offer is only valid for new customers of Standard Chartered Singapore who has not held a credit card as a principal cardholder in the past 12 months. Applying for this card is completely free and there is no spending requirement to receive this gift. Upon following all the required steps below, you will receive this gift within 3 months from the date of application.

What’s the catch?

The rules are pretty simple and they are not much of a “catch”.

1. You have to be earning a minimum of $30,000 a year to be able to apply for credit cards.

2. You have to follow the steps below carefully to receive the sign-up gift.

3. Your credit card application has to be approved to receive the gift.

Important steps to take during application

These are the steps that you have to take to receive your sign-up bonus. Do not skip any of them as they are VERY IMPORTANT.

1. Click on a link below to apply. Only the links in this page will qualify.

2. Upon clicking Apply, you will be redirected to a SingSaver page. Enter your email address and click Submit.

3. You will now be redirected to Standard Chartered’s official website to complete the application. Leave this page open but do not continue yet. Go to Step 4.

4. Check your email inbox to check if you have received an email from SingSaver to complete the redemption form. If you see it, go back to the bank’s website and continue the application process. If you do not receive any email, check your spam folder or repeat Step 1 above until you receive the email. This step allows us to track your application in order for you to receive the gift.

5. At the end of the application, take a screenshot of the Application Reference Number.

6. Go back to your inbox and fill up the redemption form. Applicants who do not fill up this form correctly will not qualify.

7. Activate the card when you receive it.

8. Receive email to collect your gift within 90 days.

+ This sucks. I am already holding a Standard Chartered credit card which I don’t really use. What can I do?

Call the bank to cancel that card. You will be considered as a new customer 12 months from now and will be able to take advantage of future promotions.

+ Do I need to have a bank account with Standard Chartered to apply for a credit card?

No, anyone can apply.

+ Will I receive 3 sets of AirPods if I am new-to-bank and apply for all 3 cards?

No, you will be considered as an existing customer after the first application. This means that you will receive 1 set of AirPods for the first card and $30 cash for each of the other cards.

+ Do I have to pay anything to apply?

No. The card’s annual fee is automatically waived for the first two years and you are free to cancel the card if you don’t like it after a few months. Don’t feel bad about keeping the gift. 😉

+ I am a supplementary cardholder of Standard Chartered. Will I qualify for this promotion?

According to the terms and conditions, Standard Chartered defines a “new Standard Chartered customer” as someone who has not held a credit card as a principal card holder in the past 12 months.

+ I am holding a credit card from Standard Chartered of another country. Will I qualify for this promotion?

You will qualify if you have not held a credit card from Standard Chartered Singapore as a principal card holder in the past 12 months.

Wait an hour to receive an acknowledgement email from Standard Chartered. This email will have the reference number. If you do not receive the email, call Standard Chartered after 1 or 2 days to get it. REMEMBER to fill up the redemption form once you have the reference number.
