There are currently two Priority Pass lounges in Ngurah Rai International Airport and they are located right next to each other in the Departure hall. They are Premier Lounge and T/G Lounge and I have recently wrote a review on each of them. If you are a Priority Pass holder with complimentary entry to either of these lounges, here’s what you should know.
Occupancy
I have visited both lounges in different times of day and found that Premier Lounge is always close to full occupancy while T/G Lounge tops out at about 70% occupancy.
Winner: T/G Lounge
Food
Unlike that of Premier Lounge, food from T/G Lounge is well replenished and is of higher quality. The live noodle station and made-to-order coffee made T/G Lounge the clear winner.
Winner: T/G Lounge
Privacy
As mentioned in my review on T/G lounge, it is more like a cafe than a business lounge. Having said so, Premier Lounge is not any different. A simple privacy test I like to do is check how many heads I can see by standing up from my seat. I am giving Premier Lounge the slight edge here.
Winner: Premier Lounge
Facilities
The only major difference between both lounges is shower facility, which is only available in Premier Lounge.
Winner: Premier Lounge
Overall winner: T/G Lounge by a mile
Conclusion
Unless if you spent the whole day running around Bali and badly need a shower, I don’t see any other reason to choose Premier Lounge over T/G Lounge.
How to get complimentary Priority Pass access?
There are a number of credit cards in Singapore that offer free passes:
Citibank PremierMiles: 2 passes per year
DBS Altitude: 2 passes per year
Bali international airport – the T/G lounge is closed and looks like it has for some time. The Premier lounge gate keepers do not allow access to PP card holders. 9 Aug 2022.
Agree they tell me only one lounge in the domestic terminal takes the PP. if you want to pay, it’s 580,000 R for entry per person. Lunch downstairs costs around 130,000 R so calculate the value from there.
