How to access EVA Air The Infinity Lounge?

I visited this lounge while transiting in Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE) on EVA Air Business Class.

Getting there

EVA Air The Infinity Lounge is located after security, on level 4 of Terminal 2. It is located near other EVA Air lounges like The Garden, The Star and The Club.

General areas

The lounge looked like it was rebranded from a discotheque in the 1990s. The furnitures were fine, but man, I just couldn’t get used to the colourful lighting, mirrors and LED strips.

In the airline’s own words:

The Infinity creates a fashion-forward space with a strong environmental consciousness, featuring bright urban forests, lush sky trees, and elegant curved walls.

I don’t know, it just looks like an airport lounge that was designed without a colour palette. Or perhaps it just not to my taste.

Shower

Guests may book a shower room through reception. The major downside? Shower facilities are shared with guests from The Star Lounge next door.

I once visited this lounge at around 7am, and was told that the waiting time was 1.5 hours.

Food & Drinks

I was here during breakfast hours, and found the buffet spread pretty small and underwhelming, for a Business Class lounge in an international terminal, in the airline’s home airport.

EVA Air The Star Lounge

I had some time to have a look at EVA Air’s The Star Lounge, just next door. While there were some quirky design elements, I thought it looked way better than the higher-tier Infinity Lounge.

My ratings

This is how I am rating my visit (vs other Business Class lounges):

Bottom line

If it wasn’t already clear, I am not a big fan of the interior design of EVA Air’s The Infinity Lounge at Taipei Taoyuan Airport. The overall experience could be “saved” through other areas like dining, external views and facilities, but the lounge failed to make any positive impression, at least in the early morning.

Such a pity for a high-quality airline to have a substandard Business Class lounge in their home base.
