How to book EVA Air’s Business Class with Miles
I’d booked this flight using just 25k Infinity MileageLands miles + US$157 in taxes/fees. This includes a second flight, in the same class, from Taipei to Kuala Lumpur.
Additional note: EVA Air calls Business Class on their Boeing 787s and 777s the “Royal Laurel” Class.
Travellers can book EVA Air Business Class seats using miles from Frequent Flyer Programs (FFPs) like:
- EVA Air Infinity MileageLands
- Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
- Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles
Miles on these FFPs can be earned through the best travel/rewards credit cards in Singapore.
Business Class to Japan for just 25k miles!
Spending just 25k Infinity MileageLands miles + ~US$150 in taxes and fees to fly in EVA Air’s Business Class from Southeast Asia to Japan/Korea, is by far the cheapest way to fly between both regions.

Seat map
This seat type can be found in all of the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. There are a total of 38 seats, in a 1-2-1 cabin configuration.
EVA Air Boeing 777-300ER Business Class seat
The airline’s Boeing 777-300ER Business Class seats are laid out in a 1-2-1 cabin configuration.
Because of the good use of space and privacy, these seats are very practical, for the airline and its passengers.
Like Cathay Pacific’s version, EVA Air’s reverse herringbone seats have entertainment screens that can be folded away, for a really generous knee room in bed mode. However, it does not come with a privacy shield at eye-level (like Qatar Airways’ version).
As seats of this type are pretty much identical, travellers get exactly what they expect.
The key disadvantages of this seat type are:
- Window seats are technically “off-window”; passengers have to bend forward (a lot), to get a good view of the outside world
- Middle seats are positioned at a distance and are blocked off from one another; not great for couples
Dining
For this early-morning flight, passengers could choose a meal from 1 of 3 menus, Chinese, Western and the “Royal Laurel special”.
I wasn’t expecting a good meal, as in-flight breakfasts tend to be boring, but I really enjoyed the beef shank with noodle soup!
Airport lounge
Flying in EVA Air Business Class from Taipei Taoyuan Airport gets you access into The Infinity Lounge.
It’s a pretty average Business Class lounge with quirky interior lighting and no outside view.

My ratings
This is how I am rating my Business Class experience (vs other airlines):
Seat | 8/10 | Storage | 9/10 |
Bed | 9/10 | Service | 9/10 |
Dining | 9/10 | Cleanliness | 9/10 |
Privacy | 5/10 |
Bottom line
EVA Air’s Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts are fitted with the generic reverse herringbone Business Class seats. With a foldable screen resulting in generous leg/knee room, I’d be pretty happy flying long haul in one of these.
In-flight dining experience and service standards were great, consistent with my previous experience on EVA Air.
