Remember, HSBC TravelOne points can be transferred to FFPs for free till 31 Dec 2023.
Additional note: A member of the group shared that his miles conversion from OCBC STACK Reward was completed almost instantly.
Miles/Points from the following cards can be converted to Flying Blue with a 20% bonus:
HSBC TravelOne
Earn 1.2 mpd on local spend, 2.4 mpd on foreign currency
OCBC Rewards
Earn 4 mpd or 2.78% cashback on selected online and offline shopping
Best ways to use Flying Blue miles
In my opinion, Flying Blue is an underrated FFP among Singapore-based travellers.
This is probably because it adopts dynamic award pricing on KLM/Air France-operated flights and passes on fuel surcharges (if any) on award bookings.
Allow me to share a common “mantra” among members of Suitesmile Chat:
“The best FFP is the one that has award availability“
….at Saver rate and for immediate confirmation (no waitlist), if I may add.
Because of its unpopularity, I tend to find Business Class award availability fairly easily, even a couple of months prior to the peak travel season in November/December!
Let’s have a look at a couple of examples:

Additional note: If you do not plan to redeem Flying Blue miles in the coming months, I do not recommend transferring your credit card miles/points speculatively for this transfer bonus.
Here are some good ways to redeem Flying Blue miles:
Route | Airline | Miles (Business) | With 20% Transfer Bonus |
---|---|---|---|
Singapore ↓ Bali | KLM | 22k | 18.3k |
Singapore ↓ Taipei | China Airlines | 29k | 24.2k |
Singapore ↓ Seoul | China Airlines | 54.5k | 45.4k |
Singapore ↓ Perth | Qantas | 55k | 45.8k |
Singapore ↓ Tokyo | China Airlines | 61k | 50.8k |
Singapore ↓ Melbourne, Sydney | Qantas | 61.5k | 51.3k |
Singapore ↓ Europe | KLM, Air France | 70k | 58.3k |
Bottom line
Flying Blue is running a 20% transfer bonus for miles/points conversions from selected credit cards made by 31 October 2023.
Travellers still looking for award space for travel in the coming months should try to check if they find something that works on airfrance.sg or klm.sg.
Interesting, didn’t know that can redeem Qantas flights using Flying Blue miles. Thanks for the tip!
