Key points to note

  • From 1 July 2023, all Singapore Airlines passengers can get free unlimited onboard WiFi
  • Passengers have to be a KrisFlyer member and add their KrisFlyer number to the booking (in advance or upon check-in)
  • Passengers crediting their paid Singapore Airlines flights to another Frequent Flyer Program (FFP) will not qualify
  • Passengers who do not qualify can still purchase free unlimited WiFi for US$15.99 for the entire flight

Bottom line

This is a positive move by Singapore Airlines to offer free unlimited WiFi to most of its passengers.

If you are looking to credit your Singapore Airlines flights to other FFPs, to perhaps earn more miles on your paid flights, the paid option of US$15.99 for the entire flight is not bad at all!
