What benefits to expect when you stay at Le Méridien Jakarta as a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium or Platinum Elite member?

Le Méridien Jakarta opened in 1992 and was last renovated in 2018. It has a total of 318 rooms. This property usually requires 15,000 to 20,000 points per night for award stays.

I managed to book it for just 12,400 points from a Marriott Bonvoy PointSavers offer.

Location

The hotel is located in central Jakarta but there is nothing much around the vicinity of the hotel. However, Grab car, a ride-hailing service, is pretty cheap in Jakarta.

  • 5 mins drive to Grand Indonesia mall
  • 40 mins drive to Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport (HLP)
  • 45 mins drive to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK)

Arrival

I arrived at about 3pm and was told that I have been upgraded to the Executive Suite but it wasn’t ready. I hung out at the Club Lounge for about 1 hour 30 mins before being told that the room was ready.

Executive Suite

Room 925 is 75sqm / 807sqft in size.

The suite had an ‘old’ feel to it even though it was last renovated in 2018. This is probably due to the lack of lighting, leaving some dark spots in certain areas. Furnitures looked to be well-maintained.

Club lounge benefit is offered at Le Rendezvous, near the lobby.

The afternoon snack was very basic but the evening cocktail had a pretty good spread!

Breakfast

Breakfast is complimentary for Platinum members and above. It was held as a buffet at La Brasserie Restaurant.

Breakfast variety was very good for a hotel at this price point but I found the food quality to be below average.

Other facilities

The swimming pool is pretty small for a hotel of this size but the gym is well-equipped, albeit with fairly old equipments.
