Is this a good deal?

Suitesmile values 5,000 Asia Miles at US$65 (S$89).

Because of the 5,000 bonus miles limit, and ~S$26 transfer fee, it makes little sense for Singapore credit cardholders to transfer their credit card miles/points to Asia Miles just to take advantage of this deal.

Bad time for redemption on Cathay and Qatar

It is nearly impossible to find award availability for flights on Cathay Pacific right now because Hong Kong is still imposing strict border rules during this pandemic.

Because of high fuel surcharges, it is also a bad time to redeem Asia Miles for flights on Qatar Airways.

The only good way to use Asia Miles right now?

Members can redeem 70,000 Asia Miles (with very low fees under S$60) for one-way Business Class flights to Europe in Finnair’s brand new seat (review coming up).

If you already have plans for this redemption in the coming months, this offer can bring your mileage cost down to 65,000 miles.

Bottom line

Cathay Pacific Asia Miles is offering 15% bonus miles for credit card conversions with a very low cap of just 5,000 bonus miles. I would take advantage of this offer if I have a planned Finnair Business Class redemption in the coming months.
