GHA Discovery is running its first global promotion since revamping the program a few months ago.
Key points to note
- Earn double D$ for stays completed between 15 April and 30 June 2022
- Registration is required and must be done by 31 May 2022
- Only bookings made from 15 April 2022 and after registration will qualify
- Only direct bookings will qualify (ghadiscovery.com or directly with hotel)
- Promotional D$ will expire in just 6 months, regardless of status
How much D$ will you earn?
During this promotional period, you will earn twice the amount of Discovery Dollars, according to your membership status.

How to redeem D$?
Unfortunately, it is not easy to redeem D$ at the moment. As shared by some members of the Suitesmile Chat Telegram group, most receptionists still do not know about D$ or how to process it
You will have to contact the hotel in advance to check if they are able to process your payment with D$.
You may even get in touch with the hotel regarding the use of D$ for prepaid stays.
Additional note: You will also earn D$ on stays that you redeem with D$.
Bottom line
While it is nice to see GHA Discovery’s first global promotion, I think it is a rather sad attempt with the 6-months expiry term of the promotional D$.
This promotion will certainly not sway me to stay more nights in GHA Discovery hotels instead of those from other hotel loyalty programs.
