Because of constant high demand in the forms of staycations and SHN, it has been nearly impossible to get a good staycation deal in Singapore, without scrambling for limited-time offers every now and then.
If you don’t have the energy to fight for those meh deals, you’ll be happy to hear that Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview is accepting non-SHN bookings again this week!
The hotel had a great pre-pandemic deal that was put on hold because of SHN requirements during the pandemic. But it is back!

“Wow, that’s like paying $100 only”
No, it’s not.
While I agree that this is a great deal, when compared to what we are seeing in other hotels in Singapore, I feel that this simplistic thinking needs to be addressed.
Firstly, the dining credit is not valid for special in-house food/drink promos that the hotel is bound to have.
Secondly, literally anyone (even non-staying guests) can get 30% to 50% off the food menu by making a reservation through Eatigo!
So, that $98 credit is definitely not worth $98; maybe around $50 to $60 if you ask me.
And no, you can’t reserve on Eatigo and pay with the $98 credit; trust me, I’ve tried. 🤭

Bottom line
It is nice to know that I can book a decent staycation deal any time I want without having to fight for limited-time deals on other platforms like trip.com and Klook.
The great appeal of this deal, for me, is that I can make speculative reservations right now for stays in the future (as far ahead as Jan 2023) without having to make any prepayments and knowing that I will be able to cancel them any time I want.
