Turkish Airlines x Rocketmiles are running a limited-time promotion to offer members 5,000 bonus miles (worth US$70).
What is Rocketmiles?
Rocketmiles is an Online Travel Agency (OTA) that rewards members with miles and points for every hotel bookings made through them. They adopt a similar approach to Kaligo and other shopping portals like Shopback and Topcashback.

Stack with ongoing Award offer?
As shared last week, Turkish Airlines is running a generous offer where members can redeem miles at 30% off the usual rate. That’s just 31,500 miles to fly between Singapore and Europe!
Rocketmiles claims that rewards are typically posted within 2 weeks after your stay.
Even if you make your hotel booking today and stay as soon as possible, there is a chance that the bonus miles will not be posted in time (by 31 Dec), for you to transfer just 26,500 miles from your Citi cards, to book a Business Class flight to Europe.
Do note that Turkish miles expire 3 years after they are earned (same as Krisflyer).
2-Player Mode for 10,000 miles
You can get into 2-Player Mode with a partner and make 2 separate bookings, so that both of you get 5,000 bonus miles each.
This is most helpful if you and your partner have other ways to earn Turkish miles (through Marriott points or Citi cards).
You can transfer miles between Miles&Smiles accounts but there will be a fee of US$10 for every 1,000 miles. Not a great option.
Booking options
There are a couple of ways to approach this:
- Book the cheapest property to “buy” 5,000 miles below valuation (you need to check in and out)
- Actually stay in a hotel and enjoy the 5,000 miles as a nice bonus
For point no. 1, depending on where you are based, the acquisition cost of Miles can vary greatly.
I am seeing some budget hotels going for US$42 per night for 500 + 5,000 miles in Singapore. In Kuala Lumpur, you can find hotels going for as low as US$20 per night for the same amount of miles.
Bottom line
While this deal is not as easy as Qatar’s 5,000 free miles offer that I shared a few months ago, this is still a great opportunity as I see Turkish Miles as one of the most valuable mile currencies in Singapore.

This is a very deceiving offer. Only those offers which are marked with “5000 bonus applies” are eligible. I searched for Kuala Lumpur and used sort by most amount of miles -> only rubbish overpriced offers are shown. Cheapest is 4* property with 7.5 score and price of $120 (in USD).
