Breaking: Keep your existing Hilton status and reach new status more easily in 2022

Hilton Honors announced new policies today to let members keep their Status, maintain their Points and reach new Status more easily in 2022.

Key points to note

1. Members can keep their current status till March 2023.
2. Points expiration will pause till 31 Dec 2022.
3. Reach Gold status with 28 nights or 14 stays (usually 40 / 20).
4. Reach Diamond status with 42 nights or 21 stays (usually 60 / 30).
5. Get 10,000 points as milestone bonus from 30 nights and 10,000 points every 10 nights after that.
6. Get one-time 30,000 bonus points at 60 nights.
7. All completed 2021 nights will roll over and count toward 2022 tier qualifications.
8. Gift Gold status to a friend or family member at 40 nights. Gifted status will be upgraded to Diamond when you reach 70 nights.

As we approach the end of another pandemic year, it’s nice to see Hilton Honors taking the lead with yet another round of temporary program changes to keep members in their hotel loyalty program. I hope to see World of Hyatt and Marriott Bonvoy follow these positive steps!
