What does it mean to earn 2X and 3X points?
The value that you’d get from this offer depends on the taxes and fees imposed in each country/hotel. With the 7% tax and 10% service fee imposed by most hotels in Singapore, a Diamond member staying at least 3 nights will receive about 18% in value, based on Suitesmile’s valuation of Hilton points.
Comparing to other hotel loyalty programs, this points bonus will also return Hilton members with the highest points value from hotel stays.
Is this a good offer?
The previous offer, which is still running till 2 May 2021, rewards members with a fixed amount of points on paid and award stays. This upcoming offer is only rewarding members on paid stays and is better for longer and more expensive stays.
It is great that Hilton Honors runs these offers back to back. In comparison, Marriott Bonvoy usually have about 2 months gap of nothingness in between offers. Furthermore, Marriott’s current offer only rewards members who stay 2 nights or more.
