Arrival

Upon arrival, we had our temperatures taken and were assisted with our luggages before being directed to the reception.

I had applied a Suite Night Award to this stay for the Marvelous Suite but was further upgraded to the one and only Wow Suite in the hotel. My package included a 9pm check-out but the front office staff asked if I could move to the base room (Wonderful) at noon as the hotel only has 1 Wow Suite. I agreed, of course!

The room (Wow Suite)

Room 3106 is 188sqm / 2023sqft in size. This suite is located at the corner of the 31st floor. It is split up into 4 sections, the bar, living room, bedroom and bathroom. All “rooms” offer great views of the city and sunset!

I somehow wished that there weren’t large walls separating each room ‘cause it would be an amazing sight to look at the suite from end to end!

I also wished that the power sockets were closer to the bed.

The room (Wonderful)

As mentioned earlier, we moved to the base room (Wonderful) at around 1pm on the day of check-out. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel had prepared room 3108 just next door!

Best rooms

In general, I always request for a room on the highest floor possible and it must not be a connecting room (for less noise).

Request for a west-facing room for a great view of the city and the sunset.

Dinner at The Kitchen Table

We used up our THB 1,000 credit on a delicious dinner at The Kitchen Table. We were the only guests around during peak hour (8pm).

Breakfast

Breakfast is complimentary for Platinum members and above and was served at The Kitchen Table as à la carte buffet from 7am to 10.30am. We also had the option of having it in the room at no additional cost! We had our first breakfast at the restaurant and the second one in the room.

Food quality was very disappointing. While they looked okay in pictures, all dishes, aside from the freshly-made omelette, did not taste good. Pastries, waffles and pancakes were dry and a little hard.

Other facilities

The swimming pool had plenty of pool chairs but was surrounded by tall buildings all the way around. I found it a little small for a property of this size.

The gym was located near the pool as well and was well-equipped with new machines.

There was a business center near the lobby with both Windows and Macintosh computers.

Bottom line

The one and only Wow suite was beautiful and the view from the work desk was incredible. I am truly grateful to be given the chance to experience it for 2 nights! I am sure that the hotel will be able to improve the breakfast quality when full service resumes.
