We are seeing hotel “deals” everywhere these days but only a small number make it to Suitesmile’s list of noteworthy staycation deals in Singapore. Since the start of the pandemic, I have not had a hotel stay in Singapore and you guys know how I feel about staycations by now!
While there are very encouraging signs on border relaxations, the situation is still too unpredictable to make travel plans in the next 12 months. But if you are a value traveller like me, it shouldn’t stop you from making speculative, risk-free bookings that offer free cancellation and no pre-payment!

The first one that I am sharing is not risk-free and is an 11.11 offer. Nightly rates are going for…you guessed it, 1,111 THB! This converts to around S$57 per night. This is a fantastic deal BUT it is non-refundable and requires prepayment. Are you willing to bet on travelling to Thailand by June 2021?

2) JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa
This is the deal that you shouldn’t miss as it is risk-free. I really enjoyed my stay last year in this massive resort with one of the longest pools in the world. This hotel is now going for only 2,585 THB nett (S$113).

Bottom line
As tempting as it is, I am not going to book the Marriott Marquis at Bangkok because of its inflexible terms. Booking JW Marriott Khao Lak in September 2021, however, was an easy, risk-free decision for me and should be the same for everyone.

Unlike some blogs that simply throw in “whatever, whenever” just to fill web pages – “X hotels now approved by STB for staycations, including hotels A, B, C…” – so what?!
