Great Deal: Complimentary 2nd night at Fullerton or Marriott Singapore for Citi Prestige cardholders

Citibank Prestige Mastercard has been the most valuable card in my wallet before COVID-19 came around. This is because the card’s 4th night free (4NF) benefit. Another great benefit of this card is unlimited airport lounge usage for the cardholder and 1 guest. Both benefits are not very useful right now. I can’t imagine too many residents wanting to stay 4 nights in Singapore to use this benefit.

Is this card too expensive to keep?

Although this card has a non-waivable annual fee of $535, I still chose to keep it even during times like this. While the annual fee sounds steep, it does come with 62,500 Citi points (25,000 miles), which I value at $475. This means that I am only “paying” $60 to keep this card. Unless if we do not have a green-lane arrangement with any country for the next 12 months, I am pretty sure that I can cover this “cost” with just a one 4-nights stay in the coming months.

Complimentary second night

As cardholders are not able to use the key benefits mentioned above, Citibank is offering a great staycation deal for a couple of hotels in Singapore. They are The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel. Both are now approved by STB.

Here’s a breakdown of what is offered at each hotel and also some points to note:

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore
– Stay 2 nights in Premier Courtyard Room for $490 nett.
– Daily breakfast for two adults.

More important points to note

Conclusion

It’s great that Citibank is offering some added value to Prestige cardholders during this pandemic. Both are fantastic offers that cardholders should seriously consider.
