Hilton has made some changes to its COVID-19 policy. Previously, members were allowed unlimited changes or cancellations for bookings made up to 30 June 2020. This has now been extended by 2 months, to 31 August 2020. Even though you have to book by that date, you will still be allowed to make free changes or cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival date. This updated policy is applicable for stays up to 31 August 2021, which is over 14 months from today.

Before you go crazy on speculative bookings, understand that changes are subject to availability and rate differences.

How I am taking advantage of this flexibility

I will be looking for European hotels for the postponed Euro 2020 football competition as well as others with good non-prepaid rates. Although prepaid rates can be refunded too, it can take up to 30 days for the request to be completed.
