Hilton Honors is offering 100% bonus on all points purchases till 1159 hours on 28 May 2020. As usual, ignore the term “100% bonus”. You should only care about the actual price-per-point that is being offered. This offer means that you can now buy Hilton points at S$0.007 each. This is the same price as my valuation of $0.007 and it is also the lowest rate that Hilton has ever offered.

Double annual limit is back!
You will need to purchase a minimum of 10,000 points to receive the 100% bonus. The maximum number of points that you can purchase is usually 80,000. But for this offer, Hilton will be doubling that to 160,000 points which will then be doubled (because of the 100% bonus) to 320,000 points!
Note: Thanks to feedback from a reader, I found out that this double limit is only targeted for Gold and Diamond members.

Should you buy?
The usual rule-of-thumb applies; I do not recommend buying miles/points if you do not intend to use them in the foreseeable future. As you can already see, world travel has been put to an abrupt standstill. The good thing, however, is that Hilton Honors uses an activity-based expiry for their points so you’ll know that you will not be sitting on a ticking time bomb like some other loyalty/frequent flyer programs.
Buying Hilton points can put luxury hotels like Conrad Koh Samui on “sale”. This property requires only 95,000 points per night. That will cost you $665 worth of points during this sale. 1 night at this property can cost as much as S$1,500 if you are paying the full price. It can also make cheaper hotels in the Hilton family incredibly cheap. With this points sale, you can stay in Hilton Garden Inn Bali for only $35 and Hilton Petaling Jaya for only $70! And this is before taking into account Hilton’s points bonus promotion that is running at the moment and Hilton’s 5th Night Free on award stays.
Which card to use?
I recommend using DBS Woman’s World or GrabPay Mastercard after topping up with Citibank Rewards for 4 miles per dollar.
