EgyptAir, a member of Star Alliance, is running a really good deal for round trip Business Class flights departing Bangkok into European cities with a stopover in Cairo. I am only seeing availability from March to June 2020.
Here are some of the European cities available in this deal:
Madrid: $1,453
Amsterdam: $1,453
Budapest: $1,456
Rome: $1,473
Paris: $1,580
These are not the only cities available as EgyptAir flies to plenty of other European cities.
Seat types
EgyptAir operates an Airbus A330-300 for the long segment between Bangkok and Cairo, Egypt. There are 36 angle-flat seats in the Business Class cabin in a 2-2-2 configuration.
How to find and book
Although I usually recommend using Google Flights to search for flights, it seems that it is having trouble displaying fares from EgyptAir. In this case, I recommend using Kiwi’s flexible search. I have prepared the filter settings on Kiwi to make it easier for you. Click on the link below and adjust the dates and destination to your liking.

Positioning to Bangkok
If you are based in Singapore, you will need to book flights to and from Bangkok separately. You can find round trip flights on Scoot or Jetstar for around $167 (including 20kg checked baggage) consistently all year round. Be sure to allow enough time for your manual transit in Bangkok (BKK airport) as you will need to clear immigration, collect your luggage and check-in to your EgyptAir flight.
Where to credit
With this promo fare, you will be booked into fare class ‘Z’. You will have quite a number of Frequent Flyer Programs to choose from. My picks are Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles and Singapore Airlines Krisflyer. If you choose to credit to Turkish Airlines, you will receive about 20,000 miles upon completion of this trip. Turkish miles allows you to fly from Singapore to Europe with only 45,000 miles each way. If you hold Citibank credit cards, you can transfer and convert your points to Turkish miles.
One-way for $833
You can mix this up with this month’s Spontaneous Escapes deal by flying EgyptAir into Europe and Singapore Airlines back into Singapore. I am seeing one-way flights from Bangkok to Madrid going for $833.
Which card to use
I recommend using GrabPay Mastercard (after topping up with Citibank Rewards Visa), DBS Woman’s World Mastercard or UOB Visa Signature pay for this flight.
Conclusion
You can almost never find round trip Business Class fares from South East Asia to Europe for less than $1,500. This is very close to what most airlines are charging for Economy seats! I don’t see this lasting very long. Act fast if you are interested!
