Error fare: Round trip Kuala Lumpur to South Korea and Japan from $60 on AirAsia

FARE GONE. Missed it? Follow us on Telegram, Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.

There is a glitch in AirAsia.com that allows you to book flights from Kuala Lumpur to Seoul, Busan, Tokyo or Fukuoka at 80% off the usual price. This is way better than the $150 error fare on AirAsia that I paid a few years ago.

How to book?

AirAsia.com has a nice calendar view that shows you the dates with the lowest fares. Once you have found the dates and fares that you are comfortable with, go all the way to the final page after baggage add-ons and meals and make your payment. It really does not get any easier than that.

No processing fee with credit cards

Wait, when did AirAsia stop charging processing fee for online ticket purchases with a credit card?

Delay your plans

At this stage, we do not know if AirAsia will honour these amazing fares. It is advisable to avoid booking your hotels or tours for a few weeks/months. Don’t worry, if AirAsia choose not to honour these fares, you will get your money back.

Conclusion

Japan and South Korea are probably not the countries that you want to visit right now, for an obvious reason, especially in a budget airline! But here’s the thing, I see availability up until August 2020. Are you willing to bet that these first world countries will get their sh*t together 6 months from now? That is a cheap bet that I would take if I have never been to either of those cities. This fare will not be up for much longer, get on it!
