Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Seminyak rebranded from Vasanti Seminyak Resort in 2016. It is a fairly small property with only 93 standard guest rooms and 28 suites. This means that 30% of all rooms are suites!
I used one of my Suite Night Awards for this stay and was approved for the largest available room, the Vasanti Suite. This suite is 80 sq m (861 sq ft) and has a huge jacuzzi in the balcony. I was told that there are 4 Vasanti Suites in this property. It looked like the one I got, room 573, has the best views of the sunset over the sea.
Check in was quick and simple as the hotel was already expecting my arrival at 4 p.m. We were offered welcome drinks and cool towels.
We were given two drink vouchers for redemption at Above Rooftop, Lounge And Bar. The bar has a great view of the sunset too.
Marriott Bonvoy Gold members and above are offered complimentary breakfast at Devali. Breakfast is from 0630 to 1100 hours. Food quality is good and guests are offered a menu to choose from, on top of the buffet spread.
Shuttle service
There is complimentary one-way shuttle service from the hotel to Potato Head, La Lucciola, Petitenget Beach, Flea Market, Seminyak Square, Seminyak VIllage, Sisterfields and Bossman. The timings are 0900, 1000, 1300, 1400, 1600 hours only.
What I loved about this property
- The view from higher floors
- The breakfast and late cut-off time of 1100 hours
- Fast WiFi
- The shuttle service
What I disliked about this property
- The small, dark and dingy gym
Conclusion
It is the cheapest Marriott Bonvoy property in the Seminyak area. Being a rebranded property built in 2012, its age is starting to show. Aloft Bali Seminyak is due to open in December 2019 at similar rates. I hope to check that one out in future.
