When to book: One month in advance
Conrad Bangkok opened for business in 2003. This property is undergoing renovations and smaller guest rooms are now available for booking.
The suite (Conrad Suite)
As a Diamond member, I was pre-upgraded to Conrad Suite. Room 32051 is very large at 114 square meters but was not yet renovated during my stay.
Shuttle service
I was not informed of a shuttle bus and only saw this schedule upon check out. Strangely, it did not state a destination.
Executive lounge
Disappointingly, the Executive Lounge was closed for renovation a few days before my arrival without prior notice. I did not enjoy my experience in the temporary one at KiSara as it is always full in the evening.
I came again later at night (15 minutes before closing) for a decaf latte but the staff was already cleaning the coffee machine and told me that no more coffee is available. Not the Conrad experience I am used to. I mean, what is the point of having a closing time of 2300 hours? They could just have closed it at 2230 hours.
Conclusion
My stay was poorly timed. I will definitely be back for another review when the renovations have completed. Having said so, service could definitely improve.
