Hilton Honors will be running a new promotion from 8 September to 31 December 2020. Called Double Rewards, this promotion will be offering double points and double elite nights.
This promotion requires registration.
I will be summarising the important points below but you may also view the official terms and conditions.
Double points
If you are a Gold member, Hilton points are credited to you based on the following formula:
(Price in USD) X (no. of nights) X 10 X 1.8 (Gold bonus)
With this double points promotion, spending US$200 (before taxes) on a 1-night stay would give you the following number of points as a Gold member:
Base points: 200 X 1 X 10 X 1.8 = 3,600 points
Bonus points: 200 X 1 X 10 = 2,000 points
Total: 5,600 points
That’s right, “double points” is multiplied only to base points. This promotion has been offered a few times in the past and gets more rewarding the more you spend on your stays; unlike the previous promotion that offered 2,000 points regardless of the cost of your stay.

Double elite nights
This is where it gets exciting. On top of double points, you will also receive double elite nights. “Elite nights” usually refer to the total number of nights that you have stayed. But during this promotion, this will be doubled.
For example, if you stay 20 nights during the promotional period, your account will show 40 elite nights, hence, giving you Gold status. But you don’t need to stay 20 nights to receive Gold status. You only need 4!
Status Match
Do you have a status with other hotel programs? Double elite nights will also count towards Status Match! Instead of the usual 10 nights nights required to match to Hilton Gold, you will only need to stay 5 nights this time!
Rollover nights
Any access nights that you earn this year (that is not required to maintain your status) will be rolled over to next year. The brilliant part about this is that you can probably start earning milestone bonuses from your first night in 2021. If you are a Gold member, going for Diamond will be easier too.

And yes, double elite nights will add to your lifetime total too!
Conclusion
This is a very good deal for existing members and an even better one for new members. Only Hilton Singapore is approved for staycation right now but all 3 Hilton properties are very nicely discounted and are available for booking from October onwards.

Thanks for the detail on the deal especially for newbie like me. I am confuse about how elite night converted into "stay" because MVP fast track requires 4 stays (check in/out 4x non consecutively).

After multiple back-and-forths and contradicting replies from Hilton. They have come to a conclusion. You will still need 4 stays for Gold fast track.
If each of your 4 stays is 1 night long, you will end up with 8 pointless elite nights. This promotion does not benefit fast tracks.
