Qantas Frequent Flyer removed as a DBS transfer partner

Effective immediately, DBS cardholders can no longer convert DBS Points to Qantas Points.

Qantas Frequent Flyer was removed from the DBS Rewards terms and conditions on 1 Oct 2026, and the option to convert to Qantas Points is no longer available in the DBS Rewards Portal and DBS digibank app. However, at the time of writing, I still see remnants of it on the DBS Chromo Card product page and the DBS Points conversion guide.

DBS essentially has only 2 useful transfer partners now: KrisFlyer and Asia Miles.

Here are the frequent flyer programs that DBS Points can be converted to:

Useful frequent flyer programs

There are currently 10 useful FFPs that Singapore-based travellers can access through miles/points earned from credit card spending.

So, what makes an FFP useful to Singapore-based travellers? In my opinion, they have to satisfy at least 2 of the following conditions:

  1. Good transfer ratios
  2. Competitive award rates
  3. Acceptable fuel surcharges/fees
  4. Good Miles sales

= Poor transfer ratio

Qantas Frequent Flyer use cases

So, are you missing anything from this partnership removal? For most Singapore-based miles chasers, nothing’s changed, as Qantas Points had limited use cases in the first place.

Flights to Australia and New Zealand are award sweet spots on Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer (with lower award rates), and those routes even make regular Spontaneous Escapes appearances.

Qantas Points were a useful backup for when Saver rates aren’t available on KrisFlyer and for Qantas First Class redemptions between Singapore and Australia. However, Qantas award availability has always been poor, even on its own frequent flyer program.

Remember: Qantas has an awesome (free) award search tool for oneworld airlines.

Here are the Qantas Points required for one-way award flights from Singapore, based on the Qantas award chart:
