OCBC 365 Card cashback changes from 1 Nov 2026

From 1 Nov 2026, OCBC 365 cardholders will earn 6% cashback on dining, groceries, land transport and petrol, with a single S$800 minimum spend tier and a S$160 monthly cashback cap (more on this later).

Grocery and land transport spending will see the biggest cashback boost from 3% to 6%. However, this announcement also comes with a huge nerf to utility bill payments, leaving us with just 2 useful cards for this category come 1 Nov 2026.

Recurring utilities and telco bills, streaming and EV charging will earn the base rate of 0.25%, down from 3%.

Note: While cardholders will no longer earn a meaningful amount of cashback on a utility bill payment, it will still count toward the minimum spending requirement on the OCBC 365 Card.

Single minimum spend tier

From 1 Nov 2026, OCBC 365 cardholders will only need to track 1 minimum spend and cashback cap amount, instead of 2 currently.

To enjoy the bonus cashback, accumulate at least S$800 in card spending within a calendar month. Bonus cashback is capped at S$160, giving cardholders a generous maximum spend of S$2,667 in the 6% categories.

And for the avoidance of doubt, the S$160 cap can be shared across all bonus categories (no annoying category caps like some UOB cards).

Frequently asked questions

Here are the official FAQs on the changes:

What happens if I do not meet the S$800 minimum spend requirement?

If you do not meet the S$800 minimum spend requirement in a calendar month, you will continue to earn the base cashback rate of 0.25% on eligible transactions.

When will the update take effect and who will be affected?

All OCBC 365 Credit Cardmembers will be subject to the revised cashback programme with effect from 1 November 2026.

When will I receive my cashback?

Cashback earned from transactions made by the Principal Cardmember and Supplementary Cardmembers will be credited to the Principal Cardmember’s OCBC 365 Credit Card account by the end of the following calendar month after the transaction is posted.

For example:

  • You make eligible transactions of S$500 on Dining and S$300 on Groceries in November 2026. As the minimum spend requirement of S$800 is met, if the transactions are posted by 30 November 2026, S$48 cashback will be credited to the Principal Cardmember’s OCBC 365 Credit Card account by 31 December 2026.
I made a transaction before 1 November 2026, but the transaction was posted on or after 1 November 2026. Which cashback rate will apply?

Cashback will be awarded based on the transaction’s posting date, not the transaction date.

If your transaction is posted on or after 1 November 2026, the revised cashback rates and Terms and Conditions effective from 1 November 2026 will apply.

The posting date refers to the date the transaction is received by the card issuer, i.e. OCBC Bank. As merchants may submit transactions for settlement several days after the purchase is made, the posting date may differ from the transaction date. OCBC Bank is unable to control when a merchant submits a transaction for posting.
